Shared-Decision Making Committee (SDMC)

At Kelso, the Shared-Decision Making Committee (SDMC) plays a vital role in supporting the academic success, safety, and overall well-being of all students. The SDMC is a collaborative team of teachers, staff members, parents, community representatives, and the principal who work together to improve school planning and operations.

The SDMC serves as an advisory group that:

  • Reviews and advises on the campus improvement plan (CIP)

  • Provides input on the school budget and resource allocation

  • Recommends strategies to improve student achievement and attendance

  • Supports safe and effective learning environments

  • Gives feedback on school policies, professional development, and organizational matters

The committee includes:

  • Jennifer Jackson-Principal

  • Ericka Felix-Assistant Principal

  • LaShonda Murphy- 2nd Grade Teacher

  • Sharon Garner-5th Grade Teacher

  • Antonette Hill-Bibbins-After-school Specialist

  • Araceli Moran-Parent

  • Christopher Bishop-Community member
